Operation Cuddle-Ups was founded to make baby quilts for the new, little citizen patriots born to an adopted unit on deployment. The first unit to be adopted was the 515th 1st Cavalry. In 2004, 38 baby quilts were presented to the parents of the babies born to this unit. Each year since, the adopted Army unit is that unit which has replaced the the one before. We are currently making Cuddle-ups for the babies born during the deployment of the 426th BSB from Ft. Campbell, KY.

For anyone who would like to donate a quilt for Operation Cuddle-Up, there are few requirements. A quilt can be of any pattern, but should measure at least 42" x 42". To all those sewing angels out there making these adorable quilts, thank you for your support.

If you have any questions or if you have a baby quilt you would like to donate, please contact Sandi Carstensen at quiltnweave@cis.net.
