Requests for pillowcases are received throughout the year, but the bulk of these requests are associated with the requests for Christmas Stockings. Often the pillowcases become one of the stuffers for the stockings.
If you would like to make pillowcases to support this project, you may download the free pattern below. Pillowcases should be made of 100% cotton fabric. Novelty fabrics are great and the soldiers love them.
If the pillowcases are to be sent with Christmas stockings, there are deadlines. Pillowcases, which are to be sent to the FRG (Family Readiness Group), pillowcases must be completed by October 1 for shipment to the FRG who,
in turn, will ship the pillowcases and "stuffed" stockings to the deployed unit.
If the pillowcases are to be sent directly overseas, they should be completed by November 1. The lead coordinator assigned to each request will provide the mailing address to the volunteers assisting with the fulfillment.
