If you are volunteering to make stockings for Operation Christmas Stockings, there are deadlines associated with the project. If stockings are to be sent to the FRG (Family Readiness Group), they must be completed by October 1,
for shipment to the FRG who, in turn, will ship them to the deployed unit. If the stockings are being sent directly overseas, they should be completed by November 1. The lead coordinator assigned to each request will provide mailing addresses to the volunteers assisting with fulfillment.
Last year we provided 4,000 troops with Christmas Stockings and the "stuffers" to fill them. If you would like to participate, would like additional information or have questions regarding the instructions or patterns, please
contact Sandi Carstensen at sandi@operationsupportfordeployedmilitary.org.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who participate in this project whether it be by making stockings, donating supplies, providing stocking stuffers or with monetary contributions for shipping our goodies. Our soldiers love to receive these pieces of Ho-Ho-Home.
Feel free to use the instructions and patterns provided below. The patterns may be used as they exist or as a guideline or you can draft your own pattern using the suggested dimensions below.
